The idea for Zeshion started on the summer of 2016 when Javier Aguilera, one of our co-founders was in Puerto Rico trying to locate an awesome surfing instructor that would be reachable, communicative and known in their community. As these things go, he started to research multiple websites and realized that if you don’t have a friend that can hook you up, then it’s almost impossible to get access to great action sports coaches that can provide you with guidance to achieve progression, while enjoying an epic experience in safe and fun learning environments. This is a scenario that every action sports enthusiast knows all too well.

In 2017, Javier met together with two of his best friends from high-school, Alberto Burger, co-founder and Chief Product Officer and Herbert Corona, all passionate about the action sports, mother nature and the outdoors. After a few of cross-border meetings between Miami, Caracas and Sydney (and a few beers in the middle) Zeshion became a reality!

In 2018, Zeshion was accepted in a Silicon Valley startup accelerator program and after a few iterations, the team quickly began servicing the action sports community with on-demand skydiving classes and flight camps. Through the convenience of our online athlete marketplace, we are reducing the “tribe” barriers, and providing access to the best coaches available, on a schedule our customers can choose through a fast, intuitive, and secure platform with social tools to evaluate coaches through satisfaction reviews.

Alberto is a world-class graphic and industrial designer. He’s humorous and a rapid-fire “mind”. He loves Yoga, Surf and SUP and has traveled the world chasing waves. His last epic surf trip was to Indonesia, surfing perfect tubes in crystal clear waters. Alberto holds an Industrial & Graphic Design degree from the Caracas Design Institute (Venezuela), a Master’s Degree in Car & Transportation Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Design – SPD (Italy), and a Project Formulation and Evaluation certificate from IESA (Venezuela).

Daniel is a creative geek, world traveler, outdoor lover, professional skydiver, and wind-tunnel instructor coaching students in Spain. Also, he’s a power audiovisual producer. Prior to joining Zeshion, he was with Playtomic, the biggest network of sports reservations in Spain. Daniel holds a B.S in Business Administration from the Metropolitan University (Venezuela).

Katie is a creative who wholeheartedly believes those who follow their passion, thrive. Formerly with Malakye.com , she is currently paving her way as a freelance content creator within the action sports and lifestyle spaces. Katie is passionate about creating compelling stories through copywriting, content marketing, and blogging. She holds two Bachelor’s Degress from Grand Valley State University (U.S) one in Advertising and Public Relations and another in Writing and a Certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship from U.C Los Angeles (U.S).
